Class Fees
Fees are paid at the end of each term for the following term, three times a year throughout school term time (December, March, July). Sadly, if class fees are not received by the term enrolment date, your child's place could be offered to a child waiting to join the school. Class fees are not refunded should your child be unable to attend class. If non attendance for 3 weeks or more, their place may be offered to another child waiting to join the school.

Examination fees
All children in the school are submitted for an examination every 18 months. Exam fees are funded 3 months prior to the examination month (July for October exams and December for March exams). Exam fees vary depending on the dance discipline and grade and communicated in advance.

Illness - Children
Should a child have a contagious illness, please only return to the dance school when the quarantine period has lapsed.
We do not recommend bringing your children to class when poorly, to safeguard contamination to other children/parents/guardians. Exercising when poorly is not recommended.
.
Illness - Teachers
We will endeavour to provide an alternative teacher to faciliate a class in the case of illness however, should this not be possible, we will notify parent/guardian(s) via the contact details provided as soon as possible. There will be a FULL refund for such occurrences.

Child Conduct

We aim for all children to feel welcome & part of a caring, sharing, considerate class environment. Should a child become disruptive, rude, use bad language or use force towards another child or teacher, they will offered 'time out' away from the group to consider their actions. Should a child continually become abusive within the class, they could be excluded from the group without refund of class fees. Teachers will always discuss with the child's parent/guardian any child(ren) impacting the enjoyment for the group.

Child Protection / Health and Safety
/ Parental Responsibilities

1. A child's parent/guardian should remain on the premises at all times and be available should their child need toilet assistance or become poorly and require first aid.
2. Parent/guardian(s) wishing to leave the dance school premises whilst their child(ren) are in their class, MUST provide in advance a nominated guardian who is happy to accept responsibility.
3. Toilet facilities are available to the children throughout their dance class however, visits are unsupervised as children should not be left alone with a teacher at any time. It is recommended children are offered the toilet prior to the start of their class to ensure they have their parent/guardian support and to maximise their class time.
4. Classes will start promptly, it is therefore recommended to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of a child's class to allow the children time to change into their dance clothing and be prompt for class registration.
5. Appropriate dance wear as instructed by the dance teacher should be worn for lessons, with the exception of a child's trial class.
6. No hot drinks or food are allowed in the dance room. Cold drinks are permitted for rehydration but should be in an enclosed cup/bottle away from the dance area to mitigate spillages/falls.
7. Parents (or nominated guardians) are responsible for their child(ren), and should ensure they are ready to collect their child(ren) 5mins prior to the class finishing.
8. No photographs can be taken without prior consent from the teacher/other parent/guardian(s).
9. Fire evacuation - parents should ensure they evacuate using the nearest exit and keep all evacuation routes clear from obstruction at all times. Dance teachers will ensure all children in their class are accounted for, and chaparoned to the nearest fire point outside the building. (Fire drills take place termly)
10. All incidents are recorded in an accident book, parents can obtain a copy of their child's incident record on request.

Assigning Child Responsibility
The child's parent MUST obtain advance approval from a nominated adult accepting responsibility for their child, and ensure their child's class teacher is aware of their delegated guardian.
